Polypropylene (PP) Pump
Non-metallic pump for mild to moderately corrosive liquids.
A non-metallic pump with the primary wetted components moulded from glass-filled polypropylene (GFRPP) - ideal for transferring mild to moderately corrosive liquids including acids, electroplating chemicals, dyes and effluent water.
PP pumps are lightweight, cost-effective and highly resistant to chemical corrosion. They generally operate safely at temperatures up to about 70 °C.
They are frequently offered in seal-less magnetic-drive designs, which eliminate the shaft seal and therefore any risk of shaft leakage.
Key features
- Lightweight and cost-effective
- High resistance to chemical corrosion
- Seal-less magnetic-drive option eliminates shaft leakage
- For acids, plating chemicals, dyes and effluent
Typical applications
- Electroplating and surface-treatment lines
- Dye and pigment transfer
- Effluent and scrubber circulation
Materials of construction
- Wetted parts: GFRPP
- O-rings: Viton / EPDM / PTFE
- Magnets (mag-drive): rare-earth, encapsulated
