PP & PVDF Pump Manufacturer
Non-metallic pumps solve corrosion problems that defeat even exotic alloys. Indian Proof Seals Engineering supplies glass-filled polypropylene (GFRPP) and polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) pumps for aggressive chemical service, in both mechanically sealed and seal-less magnetic-drive configurations.
GFRPP pumps for mild-moderate corrosives to ≈ 70 °C
Polypropylene (PP) pumps
GFRPP pumps are lightweight, cost-effective and highly resistant to chemical corrosion, operating safely to around 70 °C. They are the standard choice for electroplating chemicals, dyes, dilute acids and effluent water, and are frequently supplied as seal-less magnetic-drive units.
PVDF pumps
PVDF pumps handle the extreme end - hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, caustic soda, chlorine and aggressive solvents - with high thermal stability to about 120 °C, superior mechanical strength and non-stick properties that prevent internal scaling.
Frequently asked questions
When should I choose PVDF over polypropylene?
Choose PVDF when the fluid is a strong or fuming acid, contains solvents, or runs above about 70 °C. Polypropylene is the economical choice for dilute acids, plating chemicals, dyes and effluent within its temperature limit.
What does a seal-less magnetic-drive pump give me?
It removes the mechanical shaft seal entirely, so there is no seal to leak, flush or replace - valuable for toxic, volatile or high-value fluids.
