Process Pumps

Chemical Process Pump Manufacturer & Supplier

Indian Proof Seals Engineering supplies chemical process pumps for corrosive, hazardous, high-temperature and hygienic duties. The range spans heavy-duty metallic centrifugal pumps, non-metallic polypropylene and PVDF pumps - including seal-less magnetic-drive designs - and sanitary stainless-steel pumps for food and pharmaceutical fluids.

Heavy-duty centrifugal pumps in SS-316, CD4MCu, Alloy-20, Hastelloy

Each pump is selected for the process chemistry, temperature, solids content and flow-head duty point, and can be supplied with the matching mechanical seal and spares package.

Metallic centrifugal pumps

For acids, alkalis, solvents and industrial wastewater, our chemical process centrifugal pumps use corrosion-resistant wetted parts, leak-proof mechanical seals for hazardous fluids and high-efficiency impellers designed for continuous running. The back-pull-out layout lets the seal and bearing assembly be serviced without disturbing the pipework.

Non-metallic PP & PVDF pumps

Glass-filled polypropylene pumps are lightweight, economical and highly corrosion-resistant for mild to moderately aggressive liquids up to around 70 °C. For fuming acids such as HCl and HNO₃, caustic soda and chlorine, PVDF pumps add higher thermal stability to about 120 °C, greater mechanical strength and a non-stick surface that resists internal scaling. Both are available in seal-less magnetic-drive form to eliminate shaft leakage entirely.

Sanitary stainless-steel pumps

SS-316 sanitary centrifugal pumps with polished internals, FDA-approved food-grade seals and tool-free dismantling are supplied for milk, dairy products, syrups, juices and pharmaceutical fluids, fully compatible with Clean-In-Place systems.

Frequently asked questions

Which pump should I use for hydrochloric or nitric acid?

For fuming HCl, HNO₃, caustic soda and chlorine, a PVDF (solid or lined) pump is the usual choice - it offers exceptional acid and solvent resistance, thermal stability to around 120 °C and a non-stick surface that resists scaling.

Can you supply seal-less pumps?

Yes. PP and PVDF pumps are available in seal-less magnetic-drive designs, which remove the shaft seal and with it any risk of shaft leakage.

Do you supply spares for existing pumps?

Yes - impellers, shafts and sleeves, casings, bearings, seals and gaskets are manufactured to sample or drawing for centrifugal and process pumps of most makes.

Tell us your operating conditions, we will engineer the seal

Send the fluid, pressure, temperature, speed and shaft size, or a sample of the existing seal. We reply with a recommendation and a quotation.
